The previous albums didn’t convince as effectively, but everything fits together here. It has barbaric but clear production. The drums sound like they belong in a reboot of Conan. True menace is felt from the vocals. Imprecation sounds like a band that will do you harm. Probably the most convincing orthodox death metal record since the 90s.

Tortura opens with a set of ragged, filthy chords that resound with power & clarity; but the accelerated & bland Blasphemy riffs that creep in at times are unfortunate. Compositionally rather formulaic, yet at least the EP sounds ferociously feral in spirit. The drummer hammers the snare in desperation, while Tomas Stench barks in his billy-goat-gruff occult vocal style. The diversity stuffed into these four tracks make this EP totally fun!
